just try not to spray any of the wiring or sensors and you should be fine. use brake dust cleaner on the metal parts, works real well

I saw this Scunci Steam cleaner thing on TV and thought it would be PERFECT for the engine bay. Anyone have any experinces with this thing?

Hah no way, its 59.99. It's pretty pricey but if it works you can pay it off by charging people to use it.

like wut everyone said brake cleaner, simple green, etc... works gud remember before u spray any of those on ur engine let it warm up for a lil while and cover the sensitive electric part such as distributor, some of ur engine harness and ur intake (filter) if u got one and all that BS and plus after u spray it on let it stay for 10 to 15mins and then rinse and after u rinse it start the car and let it run and dry up and u ready to go.....

Cover distributor, filter, dont spray water directly into alternator and other electrical connections, otherwise you should be good to go.
