the other day i was multitasking while trying to drive and i redlined my car, to where the power cut out for a sec oh and i have a 94 teg gsr, and it was fine for about two days after that then i was just driving around normally not hard at all, i was trying to save some gas, and then my engine light jsut came and it has never done that before and now everytime the cars warms up the engine light comes on and does not allow me to reach v-tec. It cut outs the power like im hitting the rev limiter at around 6k, but if i drive slow and keep the engine temp down the egine light stays off. I also have headers,cat back, and intake done to it, with out a tune yet, but nothing else done to the engine. ANY IDEAS OF WHAT COULD BE WRONG MAYBE QUICK FIXES WITH FUSES?

 

When the check engine light comes on, the ECU is throwing a code. You need to put the car into diagnostic mode to determine what code (or codes) is stored, and that will help determine the problem.

Search around here or get a repair manual to determine how to find and decode the CEL codes.
