Default Engine burning oil

My car has been burning a lot of oil these past 2 days when I come to a stop then I go it smokes like a danm train and loses power I can feel it wen I step on the gas, where should I start with this problem??? Anyone had this problem before? What could it be valve seals or piston rings??

What you driving? How many miles?
Mine wasn't as bad as you described and I bought a HMO motor and had it swapped.
The used motor, installation, and shipping was right at $2,000.

Leak down test and compression test will point you to the right direction. Any check engine lights?

I saw a parts list, over on nonvtec dot com
under the section called B Series Engine Chat
then B18B1 is out and B18 is in, with parts list (photo).

Sounds like this might apply to your car, if you swap, but I don't really know.

You mention that you have a 1995 and I think that it has an OBD1 ECU, however you also say that your car has a B18B1, which I thought was controlled by an OBD2 ECU (from 1996 - 2001).

Usually when valve seals go bad it only smokes when the engine sits at idle for a while and you accelerate or when you start the engine after the car has been sitting.

Your case sounds like the rings are bad. If you haven't changed out your pcv valve then I would try that and see if it helps.

This will point you in the right direction.. you need to do a compression test and leak down test.. diagnose the issue.. then work on getting it fixed

I JUST DID THE COMPRESSION TEST YESTERDAY AND MY PSI IS WAY TO LOW I GOT 110PSI ON ALL 4 CYLINDERS, THIS MEANS I SHOULD REPLACE PISTON RINGS. ALSO WHEN THE CAR REACHES ITS WARM TEMPERATURE IT LOSES POWER, THEY TOLD ME IT COULD BE THE CATALYC CONVERTER, WOULD THAT BE THE PROBLEM OR IS IT JUST MY PISTON RINGS?

How did you do your comp test? Did you unplug the injectors and hold the throttle wide open? If you didnt youll get really low numbers like that too. Especially since you said it was 110 on all 4

Remember when it comes to comp test results your looking for consistency! 110 all across still sounds healthy, how you performed the test is a different story. was the motor warmed to operating temp when you did the test?

Your timing might be off causing the lack of power you describe. I doubt its the piston rings, first look into everything else before considering pulling the engine apart. A badly clogged cat can cause a power loss but its not that common. check the timing, make sure the timing belt has not skipped a tooth ect.. GL

your oil burning has destroyed your cat.

yea the car was warm wen I did the test, I checked the timing belt and its fine, only thing wen I was checking the timing I was having a hard time trying to find the marks so I could mark it with whiteout, I will be checking for timing as im sure its probably that, I just order a test pipe to get rid of the cat as well.

Numbers sound low. Probably bad piston rings.

Doesn't always mean piston rings, check your valve adjustments too.

no I did not open throttle wen doing compression test nether did I unplug the injectors,
I only disconnected the distributor.
I checked timing and it was way of so I got it back up and even bumped it up 2 degrees, I also got rid of the cat and installed a test pipe and got my power bak and even a lil more witch is good, but my smoking when I come to a stop and give it gas is still there.
I will start with the valve seals because it only happens wen the car gets warm, I would like to do it with the head on the block is there a tech article on a B series that anyone can point me out to here???

You're suppose to open throttle, you don't need to remove the injectors but you do need to remove the ecu fuse or else you're gonna blow the icm or igniter.
