hey i'm new to the site and i've seen there is a lot of great information and answers. I have a problem of my own. I have a 90 acura integra rs w/ an automatic transmission. there is nothing wrong with the trans but in the winter when its cold and i go to put it into park the trany goes into park, but the park light won't turn on and my key won't come out and it takes a while for the light to come on to be able to get my key out. even when i go to put it in to reverse it wil take a few seconds. in warm/hot weather no problems.i don't know if some kind sensor in the shifter or what, but its I have delt with this for too long. Any suggestions/ideas?

 

at the gear selector there's a white box connected to some wires and a plug... I'd take it off and clean it... the car is old and probably needs that parts cleaned... I'm not sure if it's the same setup in your car but it's the same way in 94-01 integra's that I've worked on you can also disable the ignition key lock by cutting a wire from a black plug on the ignition cylinder

 

yeah i haven't went in looking yet because i didnt know what id be loooking for thanks a lot. i hope thats it. Its just strange how it works perfectly normal in the hot weather. Cool ill get to that asap and clean as much as i can and then ill let you know how it goes. thanks a lot
