Default ECU question??

If I plug an automatic ecu in to a stick shift car will it run?

I realize that it wont run correctly, all I'm asking is if it will be drivable for a mile or two?

Also its a obd1 p28 auto into a obd1 gsr (will it run at all?)

Yes. It's like when people use an auto PR3 for their EF B16 projects or an auto P13 for their H22 projects... both of which (including your auto P28) can be chipped to 5-spd spec. Will it hur the motor.... NO. But it's recommended not to mash on the gas with the auto ECU as the fuel curves are different from a 5-spd setup, not to mention a lower rev limiter. But no, it will not hurt the motor at all for daily driving.

I do not believe it will be drivable, I think you'll get code 19, auto tranny lockup solenoid.
