I have a 98 gsr that got stolen and I'm putting it back together now. I put back 97 gsr motor. Which ecu am I suppose to use? 97 or 98? I'm asking because I used a 98 but it's throwing a cel with p1457. I checked all evap lines and it seems to be good. Maybe wrong ecu?

 

Either ecu will work.

 

i maybe wrong but i thought 96-97 is obd2
98-99 obd2a has fuel tank pressure sensor
00-01 obd2b has immobilizer security

 

96-99 are obd2a. 00-01 are obd2b
