I used a jack to balance the motor.

i took off my manifold to get to mine. its simple, just take out the 17's and 19's and then the 14's that mount it down and your good.

Theres should be only 3 bolts on the tranny that connects the mount, and 1 at the motor mount bracket, just take them off and slide it to the left , and it should come out fine.

ok, so its pretty simple at that point... but did you remove the bracket and all? or just the mount?

i'm referring to the rear motor mount that attaches to the fire wall.

If it's a GS-R with stock intake manifold, the rear mount T-bracket is a royal PITA, and so is the intake manifold. When I pulled my engine out, I just unbolted the bracket and let it fall out when I hoisted the engine up. After putting the engine back in, though, I spent at least 2 hours trying to get the bracket back in, and ended up crushing my heater core pipes in the process.

As for the mount itself, I think it would be extremely difficult to remove it w/ the engine and IM still in the car. I replaced mine with the IM removed, and that was even more of a PITA than it was to remove the whole engine.

bracket and all.

i did it when i was rebuilding my head so it wasnt as hard, but once the IM is off it should be pretty straight forward
