e-break light
Mine does the same thing when it is cold but my ABS light does not come on and all of me wires are good. I bent the tab on the handle a little bit more so it would have a better contact with the button but it still did it. But now that it is warm it does not do it any more
since your fluid is okay, i would look into the sensor. the sensor is just a basic switch that opens or closes then sends a signal to the cluster to illuminate. your abs light will come on due to it being in tied in to the brake sensor switch and cluster circuit.
really easy to check if its the switch. first try ******* with the sensor. see if the sensor (plunger looking thing that goes in fluid) is stuck or dirty. if it looks okay then check the sensor (switch).
1. unplug switch
2. on the connector going to the switch, place a jumper wire between the female terminals.
3. put the key on the "on" position.
4. you'll see the cluster do it's self-check (all lights come on for a while).
5. your brake light should go off after the self-check.
a. if it goes out then your problem is the sensor
6. if the brake light still is on, then MORE THAN LIKELYyou have a short to ground in the brake warning lamp circuit.

If there is a problem with the switch and it thinks the e-brake is up, and you drive it, that will then shut off the ABS. That's a trick that some racers use on the track to keep ABS from intervening when they don't want it to: pull e-brake up like 1 click to make the light come on and drive for about a mile or so, and then the ABS light will come on, signalling that the system has been shut off.
So yeah, your situation makes me think there is a problem with the switch near the e-brake handle.
