Im going to attemp this install, I have CTR cams and a how to install of cams and valve adjustment guide, im pretty mechanically minded. Just wanted to know how long to expect doing this job. Keep in mind first timer.
How cold does engine need to be?
Any general tips around problems i could come across?
My cars pretty standard i should feel some difference right?
Thanks guys!

Getting the timing belt back on easily is always a bitch for me.
With marker or something easily legible mark a line on the two gears and on the belt before you remove it, while it is at TDC for piston 1.
remove old cams and gears.
make marks in the same spots on the new camgears.
when you reinstall the new cams, attach the camgears to them first.
dont bolt the cams down under the cam caps yet.. this lets you lift the ends near the distributor to get the gears closer to one another so the timing belt can be easily slipped over the gears.

About two hours for a cam install. That would include new timing belt, set ignition timing, adjust the valves, etc.
