Default DRIVERS DOOR WINDOW

Its like I have a ghost in the car! Sometimes the window will roll up and down fine and other times it wont. I can be driving down the road and all the sudden it goes down by itself!

Would that be just the swith controller going bad? Anyone else run into this?

thanks guys!
Jay

Never had the issue but it sounds like your switch is grounding out or something. Time to pull the door panel and see if you have any bare wires.

^^^^

Like he said, but mine did that but it was the motor that went out! Run tests on the switch, etc. Its all over on this forum, simple search pops up.

I got it from the Honda Tech Marketplace, about 10 years ago, for $30ish .

These are a couple of pages, from the Integra Electrical Manual. I don't have it in front of me, but I'll add the title later.

Nice big schematics, right?

If the window rolls down by itself. the problem will most likely be the main window switch.

Power windows in our cars are polarity reversing ground at rest, so a short will either do nothing or blow a fuse, because it is the drivers window I suspect the controler unit, [auto down relay] in the master switch is bad.

Replace the master switch and problem should be solved. 94

The name of my manual, from which I posted the diagrams is:
Acura Integra Electrical Troubleshooting 98 - 00

I've never bought anything from this member, but he is listing each of the door control switches, for $25

See Entry #49, the eighth item.

A power window switch, [Multiple] is $13.95 at a PicknPull. 94
