maybe the starter or alternator? from my own experience if you can push start the car then the distributor (ignition coil) and battery should still be ok.

Your going to need to find out what is missing, spark or fuel.

If engine cranks but does not fire, [start] then the problem is definitely not the batt., alt., starter motor/solenoid or the "A/T Gear Position Switch" and because it does start and run most of the time, it is not timing, [spark or valve] or compression.

That only leaves spark or fuel, you need to find out which it is, replacing parts without knowing what is wrong is an expensive way to trouble shoot/fix a problem, it will eventually work, but only effective if the defective part is the first thing you replace.

The very first thing I would test for is the PGM-FI Main Relay, just because you replaced it does not mean it may not be the problem, not the relay itself but power or signal to it.

Get used to turning the ign. switch to run and listening to the fuel pump prime each time before you start the engine, if at any point you do not hear the pump, [and engine does not start] you have narrowed down the problem, likewise if at some point the engine does not start even though you did hear the pump prime you can eliminate a lot of things, [but not all] to do with fuel delivery.

The next time the engine does not start, immediately, [without turning ign. switch off] pop the hood and test for power, [12V+] at the injectors, [wire that is the same color on all four (4) injectors], you will also need to test for power at the ECU/ECM., the two 12V+ signal inputs, yellow/black, [IGP 1 and 2] must have power when ign. switch is in run or start, this power/signal is supplied by the injector relay in the PGM-FI Main Relay, without it you will have no fuel injector ground pulse from the ECU/ECM.

There is one other thing you should try, next time engine does not start, immediately remove a spark plug, inspect the plug for gas, is it wet with gas, does it smell of gas. 94
