Default Does IAB effect vtec

I have a Ls with a gsr head i kno that the gsr come with a IAB solenoid but I have a skunk2 manifold my IAB is not there anymore now I wiring vtec do I need to have the IAB connect to the ecu because right now there is no wire for the IAB on the ecu Because it is a Ls I have a obd2 p72 ecu so if anyone can help me please let me know.

To answer your question, no you don't have to wire up the IABs to the ECU. It won't throw a check engine light or give you performance issues without them wired up.
