im sick of it....sick and tired of messing with this jdm 4-1. im now in search of a header that requires NO "slight modifying" and bolts right up. Im curious if comptech makes 4-1 or not. Im in search of either comptech, SMSP, mugen or hytech. I know smsp, hytech, and mugen are rather coslty but i need a header asap.

DC makes a 4-1 in stainless and ceramic. there are two different 4-1's. the JDM (which isnt carb legal) and the regular 4-1's (which are carb legal) theyre pretty cheap too, a fraction of those other guys, and the build is good.

if u have the jdm 4-1, just get the 14-16" cat and get a custom bpipe for like 50 bucks from ur local muffler shop...


comptech does make a 4-1 header, it's a prototype (that might be out), but not if hytech wins their lawsuit against them

 

So whats the real problem with the JDM header? Did you install it yet or are you not going too? I was thinking about getting this one and want to know how you feel about it and why? Thanx.

 

not really a problem... but the collector is 2.5in...with the jdm 4-1 header, you will need an aftermarket cat with a 2.5in inlet/out. i want a header that bolts up and requires no welding.

If you already have the JDM type R header keep it and call IPS for a high flow cat. Simple bolt on, thats what I did.
