whats up guys. i checked the FAQ and didnt see anything really with this info.
ive got a 94 acura integra ls dohc. it has some kind of security system on it that i never really mess with. recently the car has been giving problem when firing up. IT will fire up perfectly one morning, i drive it to work, and on my lunch it wont fire. The electricity will power on, i can turn lights on, stereo windows etc, but when i give the full twist of the key it just wont fire. Sometimes if i hold it there for 10 seconds it fires? Then other times it just fires up as it should, when i do the full twist of the key. Im wondering if this security system has some dodgy wiring that could be messing with it? has anyone ever dealt with a problem like this?

The car will crank, [starter motor working] but engine will not fire, [start/run]?

The car will not crank, [starter motor not working]?

Either way, it could be the security system, need to know exactly what happens when ign. key is turned on to run and then to start. 94

 

the engine does not start cranking or turning, when i fully twsit the key to start it the electricy goes off and when i let go and it back in the ignition but not fully twisted and the stereo comes back on and everything

 

So first thing to do is a bypass jump, turn ign. switch on, supply power directly to the starter motor solenoid... https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...&highlight=FCM this will tell you if the problem is the starter solenoid or motor or if it is before the starter solenoid, [ign. switch, CIS, starter relay or wiring between the above. 94
