which do u prefer?
juss wanted to ask which integra you'd buy, an LS or a GSR and also why'd u buy 'ur pick. trying to decide between the two and i need some help doing it. thx.
Depends on what your goals are man. If you want to go all motor than the GSR would be Ideal. Just throw on some bolt ons and maybe some better camshafts and you're set (maybe nitrous). If you want to go Turbo then the Ls would be a good route to take towards that. Its all about goals.

why not get a cheaper LS? they go for 750 max....gsr 2-3k+ you can build up the LS like a ****!!!
(with all the extra cash you saved by switching to geico

Yup. That is the reason to turbo LS's.
If u were to spend 5k on your turbo setup including motor, the LS woudl probably end up on top, just due to the fact you could BUILD the motor as well to handle higher boost than the GSR.
Not to mention the GSR block is a lil thinner
Just dont forget to change your Rod Bolts!!!

hey, you'll save a bunch of money with an LS and have $ to spare for a turbo. and if anything might happen to go wrong after the turbo or if you just change ur mind, you can still go lsvtec (which is a bargain)
If you wanted to go the forced induction route...an ls woul be better cause the compression ratio is lower. Right? If your keepin it NA... then a GSR all the way.
NA is best!
NA is best!
I totally agree with you if you are planning to go turbo go with the LS the lower compression and the GSR for all motor because the higher compression and the GSR also has a better tranny and the higher redline. You also have V-tec with the GSR but the LS can be converted to V-tec by switching the head. I have owned both and I prefer the GSR as soon as you have it even if it is in stock form you will love it.

yeah, i didn't understand that one either, wouldn't it be like $20k max? and maybe $750 min?
go with the ls for turbo, higher compression is a bitch and a half to tune for FI

gsr imo. i own a 2001. with comptech headers, injen sri, and hks hi power exhaust, and timing set to 16, ive kept up with a type r. plus the leather interior, you really cant beat it. 170 to the fly stock, motor responds great to mods, and vtec. ls/vtec swaps need to be done perfectly correct or youll run into problems. if youve got the money go for the gsr
To go with a turbo, the LS because of the lower compression ratio, you'll be able to run more boost but there ane many many GSRs with turbos that run great so you really cant go wrong. THe gsr motor is great, i love it.
it really depends on how much you're willing to spend, a gsr is definetely a better package than a ls. but if u are on a limited budget than a bolt on turbo on an ls could run in the same price range as a newer gsr.

i realize that you aren't swapping but there is some good info in this thread on the different engines.

I have a turbo GS-R and V-Tec and boost is an awsome felling. I had the same question when I was looking for an Integra and i wanted a turbo. I called a bunch of major companys and they all said a GS-R by far. The guy from HKS asked me if I was stupid.
