Default Do Octane boosters really Work?

You go to O'reilly and Pepboys and Autozone and you see them everywhere! What do they really do? Well i am going to find out what the heck they do! I am gonna set someGASOLINE on FIRE and then do it again with OCTANE BOOSTER in it and see if it is any different.

lets find out the truth, but in the mean time give me your opinion!

(dont worry guys i will record it and post it up!)

burning gasoline in the open air will not work...

** i meant "work" as in helping you to determine the octane rating.

What do you think i should do? Maby create some compression chamber and have a spark plug in there? Hmm..... give me some ideas.

And don't say why dont you put 87 octane in your engine and wait till it pings then put some octane booster in and see if it fixes it......

Thats no fun and you suck,,,,be more creative ur boring come on lets think of something. look uo some diaghrams!

put 87 octance in a gsr when it starts to ping dump in some octane booster and it will stop after a lil

Why would you want to test this?

no octane boosters do not work, I heard its all a mental thing. I forgot how they explained it to me, but seriously it doesnt work.

Hmm actually I forgot the chemical you can buy that will boost your octane. It started with a T...

Let me see if i can find the article.

It's called toluene. Apparently there's also another chemical called xylene that would also the same thing.
