Difference between ITR 4dr and regular 4dr shell
Okay, i know this just sounds like the normal "what is the difference between an integra type r and regular integra" thread.
But its actually slightly different. I think i know the answers. I just need someone to confirm it. I know for sure that i saw someone actually mention it in one of the honda/acura forums once but i never paid any attention because i never thought i'd actually ever get a 4 door integra.
I would post this on the ITR section where they would have the most knowledge, but seeing how im trying to get answers between ITR and non-R integra, ill post it here since its only partially R related.
Anyways, i know all the main and basic differences. I just want to know these two questions.
1) Are the ITR DB shells more reinforced than non-R shells like how the ITR Coupes are to the non R coupes?
2) Hows the subframe? would you still need a subframe brace for beefier sway bar on non-R's? Im not positive but i believe so right?
Ive always been a 2 door guy and know all the answers to that. This is the first time im ever looking into a 4 door.

To answer your questions:
1. Yes
2. Subframe is different. It is reinforced on the ITR. Yes you would need something like the Beaks kit or the ASR brace to beef up the non-ITR.

^no such thing guy.... 4dr ITR's were only made/assembled in Japan.
Yes, youre right. By Beaks, i do not mean the Beaks lower tie bar. I mean the sway bar mounting kit that is the cheaper alternative to the ASR brace. Sorry if i was not clear lol
Alright. Thats what I thought.
I was just wondering because i have the chance to pick up a JDM ITR DB. Cant be registered but its cheap and it'll do just fine as a track car.
Thanks for the confirmation guys.

Nothing wrong at all with a Beaks kit on an Integra. I've had it on my car for well over 100k miles along with a 22mm ITR rear sway bar with zero issues.
