Default delayed start problem

Lately when I get into my car and try to start it, there's a small pause, maybe like 1-2 seconds after I turn the key, before it starts to turn over.

A better explanation.... When I turn the key, nothing happens for up to 2 seconds or so, then it turns over and starts just fine.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

i dont have to pump the clutch or anything, it just takes a second for it to start to turn over.

i have the same problem when its really hot out. It takes like literally 10 seconds for it to start sometimes. I just sit there with the clutch in and the key turned. I have no idea what it is. Maybe the starter?

mine isnt when its hot or anything..
I keep my car in my garage and any time throughout the day(unless the car is already warm) it does this.
So on cold starts it does this, but not when the engine is warmed up.
wtf?!

any ideas could help!!
thanks a lot

hmm, I had a similar situation, mine turned out to be the starter itself. Just like how you guys mentioned that it wouldnt start after it was in warmer conditions, then finally after a few months it took like 2-3 cranks to get the damn car to turn over

I guess Ill take my starter out and have it tested at autozone or whatever..

Is there any type of tune up type of thing that could fix this?
I dont really have the tools up here at college to just get the starter out and back in if thats not the culprit.

Thanks for the help deluzional
