Re: Damn 95 GSR... (TyPE-RON)
I am thinking that because of you trying to start the car so many times when you starter is no good.. it used up a lot of the battery power and put a lot of straing on the alternator and then when you replaced the battery you probably need to also replace the alternator..

put a voltmeter on the battery when you get it running, around 14 or more volts your alternator is working, anything less, it's dead. Could be causing the batt. to die. Also check to c if your alternator belt is loose as well as the power cable and ground for the starter.

If you've done all that and it's still not starting, pull the clutch inspection plate and have a friend rotate the crank pulley while you look at the flywheel. Make sure the flyhweel is intact and hasn't seperated from the teeth of it. You'll have to rotate the engine full 360 to inspect it.
My friends OE flywheel did this and he experienced similar problems as you.

Re: Damn 95 GSR... (TyPE-RON)
check to see if your ground wire for the battery is good...cause this happened to my friends car also ..the lights turned on for a second and then shut off...so he bought a new battery and it didn't the same thing..so he knew it wasn't the battery..the thing was that his ground connetor on his battery wasn't clean..it was full of corrosion..so we bought the battery cleaner and cleaned it up...and it started in no time...kind of a pain in the butt...but oh well it worked
