so I fired up my da today...and the idle is reallllly weird. the whole motor vibrates 10x harder, the idle rumbles like a harley, and the throttle response is weak. what could this be?!

 

It sounds like you may hav a dead cyilder as thats usually the only thing that will make a motor shake that had. Check to make sure your getting spark to all cyilders. If that turns up good check ur compression if thats good make sure u dont need a tune up. Does it still drive?

 

yeah it still drives. I checked all of the plug wires, I'm still getting spark, I checked the injectors and every cylinder's good. could it be timing or the distributor cap?

 

timing may be a good posibility with a da ur proly experiencing a sliped timing beltid pop off the valve cover and check ur timing marks
