everthing will drop right in. I heard most people use the ls intake manifold for some reason(clearance, flow?)

size the b20 manifold is too big.... your gonna basically want to take your entire intake manifold and TB from the b18b and use those... the block is otherwise identical

no one could tell i swapped the engine (they didnt know honda engine codes)

Just use the B20 short block. Use your current LS head, ECU, tranny etc.

What about the ecu? Do i use my ecu that i have on thye car now or do i get the ecu that goes with the motor? For those who have the b20 setup how does it run. Is it stronger? How does it handle boost?
Thanks for the replies

Use your current ecu..it'll work like a charm.

I haven't gotten mine B20Z in yet, but I've heard there's a noticeable difference between it and the B18B....no replacement for displacement

The B20Z has 146 hp, where as USDM B20Bs have 126 hp. JDM B20Bs however have 146 hp. I think they all have 133 ft-lbs torque though...

If you replaced it with a USDM B20B, yes...unless you found some used B20Z/JDM B20B pistons for it...

When you order a B20 from a company that only deals with jap motors you are getting the B20 with 146hp right or wrong?

please dont forget the the hp# for the different b20's are with the head that comes with the b20. the b18 head has a different cumbustion cup area. plus your using different cams and whatnot. if your gonna use a b20 block and one will do. just drop in some high comp pistons(unless your gonna boost) and you'll be fine.

What if I was planning to buy the B20Z motor and I swapped heads with my Ls,put an ITR intake manifold on along with a custom turbo kit that i have for my Ls.Do you think the internals to the B20 would hold up to a turbo?Or just by replacing the pistons and rods now i would save a big hadache from happening in the long run?

The B20 internals will hold up with moderate boost. I think 5-8 psi would be a safe level. There was a dude boosting 16 psi (and making over 300 whp I think) and his cylinder wall cracked....but that's a lot of boost and most likely some GOOD tuning...

If you don't plan to build, keep the boost low...you shouldn't have too many problems...
