I would like for you guys to give me more ideas on how to protect my gsr. I remember 2 years ago being in this kids car and he had to reach under the dash to punch a sertain pattern/code in so his car wouldnt turn of( security device) so if anyone knows a link to the kit i am talking about..please post it up. And another thing i remember hearing about on honda tech was some sticker you put on your car that allows cops to pull you over after 12am to see if its stollen....
So if anyone has some other interesting security devices please share...
Thanks
EDIT:its a 99gsr..so if someone could give me pointers on how to relocate my latch and all the other stuff, that would be awesome

that just sounds like the typical Clifford plain view valet switch with the CarJacking option... atleast thats what I remember from way back then... almost 10 years ago. Those features or anything like it is only as good as the installation... its ALL about the INSTALLATION.

What about the security an M3 owner in germany hooked up to his car after having it broken into numerous times...he hooked up a spark plug into the gas tank, if a door was opened or any voltage drain, it fired the spark plug and boom! A car thief died when he attempted to steal the car....the M3 owner is now in prison!

Yes, it is a DEI/Clifford unit. There are several ways it is used, one is the car-jacking so that if the car is started or the doors are opened while running it starts a timer. If you don't enter the code it kills the whole car. Also has a separate remote fuel cutoff that works even if you try to rip out the brain. Also once the car is in a full panic the only way to shut it down is to put the key in and enter the code. The code switches are also how you program the system.
I used to work part-time at a retailer.
My personal favorite is the anti-carjacking used in south Africa. Duel flame throwers, one on each side of the car. Mmmmm got marsh-mellows???

I dont know the sticker sounds lie a pain in the ***, unless you dont go out at night. All you need is a fuel pump kill switch, and hide or re run the hood cable and your car will be pretty safe.
Unless the thieves have a flatbed! that is

you must live in a crazy place, being so worried about your car getting stolen. code-alarm makes a two-way remote/pager and will page you with the remote if anything happens to your car. if you don't respond to the page you can set it up so it calls your cell phone. might be an option to consider...

not really... when you got a teg... a freaking car that basically didn't change from 1994-2001 7 years! most cars change dramatically after 4 years... but us tegs have got the same crap thats interchangable for 7 years worth of LS/RS/GSR/SE/ITR
Not to mention our motors and some suspension and interior parts fit perfectly bolted into the other crap load of Civics Hatchbacks, Civic Sedans, Civic Coupes, CRX, Del Sols, etc...

my setup is simple, tiny toggle switch cleverly hidden for fuel cutoff, ignition cutoff switch for msd unit for u guessed it ignition cutoff. my security system is nothing special clifford rsx 3.5 two way (same as viper 791vx), DEI 508d-simply its an infrared sensor can detect movement if u left your window down, and 530t-windows module. with the windows module when u arm the system it'll roll up the windows for you or if for some reason the window was down and alarm was on and they stuck their hand into ur car the 508d would pick up movement arm the car and the windows will roll up.

I worked on this one lady's car and to start it you had to do something like switch the turn signal to the right while starting the car. Do a search on here and you'll find stuff like that on here.
Layer your security. Don't rely on just one thing. Get a good alarm, cut-off switch, club or device like that and so on. If it looks like it'll take more than 60 seconds or so to steal your car than most thieves will pass on your car. Plus, don't leave valuables out in the open and give thieves a reason to break into your car. Use common sense.
Good luck!
