Default compression problem

i just did a compression test on my integra and the numbers were 200,100,150,160. What do u think would be teh problem and is it worth it to fix it now because im gonna get a new engine within the next couple monthes anyways. Right now i have the ls engine and im getting the gsr engine i think.

it might be your piston rings that arent sealing well

do you blow out any oil or blue smoke out your exhaust on idle or when your reving it?

Were you at wide open throttle during the comp test? The fact that you have poor numbers next to each other can indicate a bad head gasket...maybe test again at wide open throttle with all 4 cylinders..then..

The next step is to add a cap (from a bottle of oil) full of oil to each cylinder about a minute before you test it (wet compression test)...if the comp goes up significantly, you have a problem with your bottom end in that cylinder (broken ring landing, etc.)...if not, the problem lies somewhere in your head (bent valve, etc.)...

You can also check for blow-by (pull off vacuum hose off of the valve cover and look for mist coming out)...if you have blow by it's a piston problem (ring landing, ring, etc..)

If you're about to replace the motor anyway I wouldn't bother dealing with the problem after you figure out what it is, it will probably be just fine for the next couple months...good luck
