Default compression for LS short block

This is my first time posting in the Integra forum and I have a quick question for you guys and gals. Im buying a LS short block off a guy and the only thing he could tell me "The only information I can really give you is the compression test 75/160 on all cylinders and under 10% on the leakage test." How is that for a motor from 95 with 75K miles?

I've seen good numbers off of B18C's that are in the 180 range.

75 seems a bit low for that motor.

When you do a compression check on an engine, those numbers represent how many pounds per square inch each cylinder is holding.

If the numbers are low, there is a leak somewhere. Could be the piston rings, or it could lie in the head. Warped deck, a problem with the valves. There are various way to detect where the leak is coming from as well.

if that was towards me, i know what a compression test is...i dont know why his test results are 75/160 instead of giving a reading for each cylinder(ie. 180 175 180 185)...thats what i was trying to say.

What do compression numbers mean on a SHORTblock anyway?? If 1 or 2 cylinders are low, it might be the headgasket or the valves. NETHER of which are part of the shortblock...
