My distributor tested bad on my DOHC d16a1 and needs to be replaced. Does anyone know if any other obd0 ones will work as a replacement for the d16a1/ZC's td03u? I have a td01u, I believe it might have come off my CRX when it was still DPFI. With my luck it won't work, but I'm going to try anyways when I have more free time unless someone can give me a solid answer.
Getting another td03u wouldn't be a big deal, but they're not exactly common in junkyards like most others. And I'd prefer to avoid buying a remaned one from anywhere since they always fail. The one I have is apparently remaned and I didn't notice that when buying the car.

 

test and replace coil and/or icm with a decent brand from rockauto/ebay.
united electric and airtex wells are good choices. carry spares if you can afford
them.

Thanks, very informative link. However, my car starts up perfectly. The ICM is good. I'm getting a code 4 for a crank sensor and followed Alldata word for word and the CKP in the distributor tested a bit out of specs. Absolutely everything else tested good. From what I understand you can't simply replace the sensor, but have to replace the whole distributor. I wish it was something like an ICM or coil, I can swap those out for free with my spare parts!
