Icon5 Coil Assembly Ignition?

My ignition coil is bent so I'm going to need a replacement. Can anyone recommend me a good coil assembly ignition that's reliable and not too expensive? I found the OEM one https://www.oemacuraparts.com/oem-pa...ZC1tYW51YWw%3D but it's $103!!

I'm just looking for something that's not so expensive for my 1995 Integra LS but practically the same quality. I would appreciate any kind of feedback/suggestions.

I would have picked up the Accel Coil

They work great, and it's an upgrade to your current one.

Looks good.

I ran the MSD box + crane cams LX91 external coil for a few years and it was great,I've since gone back to stock ignition system for a change and to clean the engine bay up a bit.The stock system as we all know is fine and does the job perfectly but I gotta admit,I do miss the the smoothness that the msd system gives.Just not needed though...

I wish I still had it

How is smoothness in ignition considered to be a thing not needed? Because it doesn't look so aesthetically pleasing to the eye? You can alter that with some imagination and some materials. It's an engine bay, not a gourmet meal on an elaborate dinner plate with chocolate drizzle on the side.

The function becomes the form.. Not the other way around.

It's not needed because the stock system is fine but like I said,I wish I didn't sell it because it rocks!

I had grounding cables and basically wires everywhere and after a few years decided to clean it all up and yes I wish I had cleaned it all up but left the MSD system..

There was no downside to the msd system, just a bit more carbon build up on the 4 points in the dizzy to clean off.

I think I'll get the Accel coil you suggested but I'm really trying to budget now so it'll have to be later on.

That's cool.

So you haven't got like 6 grounding straps hanging off the negative battery terminal like I did then?

At $50. that's cheaper than eBay, and warrantied through Summit.
If you can't do something like this now, maybe you shouldn't be modifying the car at all. This is a "no brainer".

Maybe one day you'll understand that expenses stack up and you don't always have to buy "wants". Unless it is a necessity to get a $50 coil, it is a want. This is a "no brainer".

Hehe.. Maybe. I've already have 4 cars, 2 kids, a mortgage and know something about modification for over 22 years..

But you're right..what do I know about "needs" vs. "wants". One day I'll get it.

You asked for suggestions from experienced individuals, and you got it. There's no reason to be insulting while there are those trying to help that has done this dance before. To let you know, I realized as I suggested the ACCEL Coil that I had 2 B-series Coils from my collection I would have been willing to sell you at a cheap price just for the asking to help a fellow enthusiast out. But when you came with that sarcastic condescending line, I was kinda done with it. I'll let life teach.

You want it fixed, get the right part. You wanna **** around and play games about scavenger hunts in a bone yard to suit your "needs", then shed your tears and complain to someone else off of the forum, and close this thread.

Aww, did you have a bad day? What's ironic is that you subtly retort and say it's a "no brainer" but when I answer back with that same "sarcastic condescending line", you immediately become defensive and get your panties in a bunch.

I asked for suggestions and I got them from polite forum members like NVturbo who recommended buying one off eBay, I didn't ask some oversensitive bitch who somehow happens to be a moderator to follow up with **** to say because I'm trying to "budget." I said I would consider buying the Accel coil later on when I have more money... you somehow think I'm interested in buying from you?

Apparently the Accel coil is an absolute necessity to you since you think I'm ******* around trying to get another part that will make the car run well enough anyway. Shedding my tears? Complaining? If you can find me doing any of that in this forum I will buy you an Accel Coil to suck on. Shed your tears and bitch to someone else off of the forum, pretentious moderator.

"I'll let life teach"....please, take your own advice.
