code 9 after switching distributors.
Before i switched the dizzys, car was running good, no cels. After I switched the dizzy, the car started to throw 2 codes, 7 and 9. 7 Is no problem, but why is it throwing 9??? could it possible be because the dizzy was rewired wrong?
well is it throwing check lights or anything? i know mine was until i reseted my ecu, to reset it just remove your ecu fuse for a few mins and plug it back in, start your car and it shouldnt come back on
he just said that the car was throwing 2 codes which usually means the check engine light was on or else there would be no reason to check for codes.. did you change obd or anything? im just asking because you said it was re-wired...i did...i have a 94 gsr motor with a 97 dizzy and it had to be re wired because of the diferent plugs(obvioulsy)..and from experience i would say that you have one wire wired wrong or worst case scenario something is wrong with you ecu(this also happened to me with my p28 when the chip was removed)...im sure someone else will chime in but from my experience, double check your wiring before jumping to any conclusions about the ecu
