code 9 >.<
soo last night driving home....a CEL popped. i checked it and its a code 9. cylinder position sensor....i pulled my cap off the dizzy off...and the screw that is holding in the rotor came out. so i tighten the screw....it misfire again....so this morning i drove my car to run errands and get cigs...the car didnt misfire one bit. car is fine....any suggestions?
yeah i reset the ecu...and the CEL came up again...for code 9. im gonna replace the dizzy...cuz my friend had the same problem...and the wierd misfires. i hope this works.
Did the rotor hit the **** inside the dizzy cap for the spark plug wires, this would mean change the cap and rotor, also pull the rotor back off and see if the mount is bent. Is there any metal shavings inside the dizzy or rust colored dust visible, this would mean change the dizzy.
Look on the magnetic pickup sensor and see if there are shavings stuck the the magnets on all the pickups.
