Clutch Problem
I've been noticing recently that it's been harder for me to change gears. This morning I was leaving for class and I couldn't get my car into first with the engine running. When I had the car off, I could shift smoothly. I had it towed to a transmission shop and they said that they think the pressure plates in my clutch have collapsed and they want to replace the whole clutch and charge me $450 for labor and $300 for parts. Is there any alternative that might be cheaper and how much do aftermarket clutches usually run?
Thanks

Check your clutch fluid resivor and make sure there is fluid in there. If not then your master cylinder and/or slave cylinder could be leaking. That could cause the problem you are experiencing. How many miles are on your car?

Yeah my clutch fluid reservoir was still full. And I just replaced the master and the slave cylinder not too long ago so there isn't a leak. I do have 127K on my car tho.
I just talked to the guy at the shop again and there was also a leak in the slave cylinder.
Anyone know where I can get an ITR clutch? I did a search and someone said godspeed motorsports had em but I cant find anything on the website.
Thanks
