Mine did this for a little bit. Its was more of a sound like the cable skipping thru whatever it is ran thru. It doesnt do it too much anymore. I read a post somewhere about where to lube it. I cant remember where though. Maybe someone one here will remember & post the link. I am bored so I will go hunting for some info.

These maybe something related. Try searching this board as well as This One to see if someone has a similar problem and the solution.

It's almost 100% your throwout bearing.

Most of the time, it should be replaced when a new clutch goes in. Sometimes, people are lazy and keep the old on in there. It's not too bad, but it will squeak until you get a new one. I'm sure it'll last long enough until your next clutch change.

mine is doing the same thing right now, not every time i push it in but most of the time. my friend said that he had the same problem before and it was the throwout bearing on his car. Im just putting in a whole new clutch soon so that should solve my problem. already have the clutch and flywheel here, just need to get it installed
