Default Cleaning Intake filter

So I want to clean my Intake filter.. But I'm not sure exactly what to do.

It's the DC Sports Direct Air Charger, but I couldn't find info on the filter. I'm not sure if it's the type of filter that needs to be oiled after it's cleaned and dry, in which case I would just get one of those kits, or if it's one I can just dunk in water, clean, and let dry and then install...

I usually just spray mines down with some solvent, i recommend super clean from wal mart because its a degreaser and it does a good job. So spray it down with that and get a bucket fill it with water and after the filter had been soaked in the solvent for atleast 15 mins go ahead and dunk it in the bucket keep cleaning it with clean water till the water stays clear. Then just let it dry up in the sun and throw it back on. I have the oil for the filter but rarely use it. And you should be faster than fast after that man!!!

Why would you not oil it? That's what helps the filter trap dirt.

OP....if you find out the filter NEEDS oil, you can buy a K&N filter cleaning kit for like $11. Follow the instructions inside
