check engine light
I installed a test pipe about a month ago and had an o2 boss welded on it. Last night I threw a check engine light and checked the test pipe to make sure it was still connected. I called auto zone to see about the free test that they do to see what code you are throwing and the guy said he can only do them for domestics.any help on how to do it manaully or no because it is obd2. I know you could jump the wire by the kicker panel but I think that is only for obd1 cars
The second o2 sensor checks the condition of the catalytic converter on an OBDII car. If it is not there, the ecu sees that as an error. Jump the wires under the passenger dash to make sure that is the error that you are getting. There is a list of error codes on http://www.hondata.com under the tech section.
thanks. to jump the wires I pull the wires out from the passenger kick panel and unplug them correct. then jump with a bobby pin.what color is the harness that I jump. are the wires brown and green?
I think it is a blue connector, not behind the kick panel but right under the dash near the passenger kick panel. It won't be plugged into anything. Make sure that the car is not running when you jump the wires. Also don't try to start the car only turn the key over until you get the dash lights. The CEL will flash the code as slow flashes for the first digit and fast flashes for the second digit. Thus, blink------blink-----blink,blink,blink would mean 23. If it is a single digit number, you will only get fast blinks. Not sure about the color of the wires, I think one of them is brown.

actually if it is ur test pipe o2 sensor.. try wraping it with foil and using wires to wrap around it.. metal wires of course.. what i did was just zip tie it ot the top of the car... worsk great.. i never get a light now.. u can always buy the o2 simulator.. for like 25-50 bucks which taps into those wires...
I can't find the jumper wire. I look under the dash, took off the passenger kick panel and can not find it. On my old civic it was plain as day but I can't find it on my 96 teg
On my car, there is a green rubber piece that two connectors are held in to keep them from falling out from under the dash on the far right side. The blue connector is in the green rubber piece. Just pull the blue connector out of the rubber and jump the wires. It maybe different on your car but I am pretty sure its the same.

I don't think there is a such thing as 67. I could be wrong. It could be throwing two codes. Is it 6 long blinks and 7 short blinks, or is it 6 short blinks a pause and then 7 short blinks. If so, that would be a code 6 and 7. Look on Hondata.com under the tech section for engine codes.
