whats up guys wanted to see if anyone could help me out i got a built ls/vec tec runs real strong but at high rmp like about 6k i get a check engine light on and once i turn the car off it goes away dosent efect the performance of the car at all just bugs me that it comes on anything anyone can tell me or have me look at will help thanx

 

well if you have a obd2 you can use a actron obd2 scanner and go from there if you have obd1 you can pull out the little brown plug located somewhere under the glove compartment along the side pull it out and loop a wire or paperclip in the holes and turn the car on the on position and see how manny times the check engine light blinks and look up what code that is you can find how to do all that by searching the red search archive

thank guys i now how to check the codes but right when i turn the car off the light goes off intill i hit 6,000 rpm's the car is obd1 and im running a p28 in it
