CEL without a code?!? wtf

CEL without a code?!? wtf
apparantly that is what is happening in my case. My CEL has been on for a while now. I took the car to autozone and got a complete tune up (78k on her) and the light went off for about 6 hours... it came back on later that day and when i brought the car back to them they said that it didnt throw any codes... btw its completely stock as of right now (due to lack of $$$) if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it.

Ummm..... I don't think that can happen. The CEL is there for a reason.
Check the code yourself, to make sure.
