The CYP sensor detects the position of No. 1 cylinder for sequential fuel injection to each cylinder.
You either have "no signal" or a "intermittent interruption" of the CYP sensor (inside the distributor).
There are two diagnostic codes for CEL 9, P1381 and P1382. The DTC P1382 list the ECU as a probable cause. Check for a short in the CYP sensor. A high percentage of the time this code indicates a problem with the distributor.
Reset the ECU to verify the problem.

I already gave an answer. The link you posted was for ECU and ABS codes and the original thread starter already knew the ECU code. You said there were 5 threads on this already, could you link one up in this thread so I can see it.

What's wrong Keith? You look shocked for some reason.
- Am I wrong or right though, the individual who started this thread is looking for a possible fix for this CEL. The ECU and ABS codes thread pinned on top of this forum doesn't contain specific info on how to troubleshoot each CEL. It's funny to me that everytime a member posts on how to "fix/troubleshoot" a check engine light, somebody comes along and links the ECU/ABS thread and says search.
