Do you know how many other threads there are on this subject? Google search does wonders...Are you just being lazy? anyways this is useful info i found in an instant for you even though this thread should be locked...
This is what it says the cyl sensor detects the position of the no.1 cylinder as the bases for the sequential injections. The tdc sensor serves to determine the injection times of each cylinder. The tdc sensor is also used to detect engine speed to read out the basic discharge duration for different operating conditions.
Most 1990 vehicles, incorporate the tdc sensor, cyl sensor and crack sensor in a single assembly. The function of these components does not change, but if any single sensor is defective, the entire distributor be replaced as an assembly.
Basically its all in the distributor I would say check your cap and rotor check the ignitor these are all in the distributor. These parts can be bought at an auto parts store for under 20 dollars. Except the ignitor. If this doesn't work try a friends distributor from a b-series if his works than you need a new distributor. The other sensors they speak of are on the camshaft so there not in plain sight thats why you cant find them. You cant check them either unless you want to take your valve cover off

so time is really short. i am studying as of now and was gunna check it at 2:00pm tommorow but decided to take a quick peek. ill check the dizzy thanks man
thats cool, if the dizzy checks out ok, and indeed one of the sensors is effed, i would suggest using google search w/ code 9 b16 in it, and it pops up hellsinkie threads from h-t, hondaswap, and other civic/honda forums and they will have very usefull information for you from other people that had the same problem...good luck man
