i just ordered a DC jdm 4-1 header w/2.5" collector. thinking car sound cat or JDM ITR cat. any suggestions? also, would it be better to have 2.5" pipes made from the cat all the way to the muffler, or just USDM ITR pipes to my N-1 axle back. I have the axle back w/ USDM ITR pipes. was thinking that maybe i should have a crush bent B pipe made at the muffler shop to go from the cat to the muffler. (No resonator) what do you guys think? BY the way, i have a LS integ w/stock B18 for now.

Until you have further modifications, a larger exhaust isn't really a necessity. Even so, I would stick to something mandrel bent (not crush bent) in about a 2.25" size.

 

why? it's still an upgrade right? better flow. planning for LS v-tec and jdm tranny w/4.7 final and LSD. can't decide which head though.

 

just get 2.5" straight pipe w/ muffler, no cat, no res. why have those when it'll affect your flow anyway, if anything go 2.25" straight pipe to a muffler. def. get mendral bent not crushed, better flow since thats what ur looking for

 

oh yeah, make sure u do your research on that LS-Vtec job, a lot of bad things can happen if you don't use the right stuff, like arp bolts, better rods & etc.
