car problem
ok i have a 94 integra rs..heres the deal when i try to shift gears it gets stuck like it doesnt want to go in gear...i have to basically force it into gear...but now whenever i take off in first my car jerks like something is not catching...what could be the problem? tranny fluid? clutch? or just the damn tranny...your help is needed cause its pissing me off...
could be anything clutch related, doesn't sound like the clutch itself though. Might be a bent pressure plate or worn throwout bearing. Sounds like something isn't engaging/disengaging properly.
If your clutch pedal feels different at all you might need to fill the resevior and bleed it from having air in the lines, that happened to me last winter and I had the same things happen, but you didn't say anything about your clutch feeling different so it might be the first couple things i mentioned.

Sounds like clutch to me. Something similar to what happened to me and countless others. This will be the third thread I have posted this pic. Notice the spring is out and it scraped against the diaphragm spring on the pressure plate. It doesn't slip, but rather doesn't seem to want to let go. Clutch pedal shaking is nutz. That means the diaphragm spring is pushed back far enough to bridge the gap to the throwout bearing, which pushes on the arm that pushes on the slave cylinder, which pushes the fluid up to your clutch master to your pedal. At least I'm assuming. Which once again sounds like the same spring predicament. Spring may be lodged, and pushing the diaphragm. Again, see pic.
You should change the clutch ASAP! Driving like you are now is putting a lot of wear on your synchros (forcing into gear), which you don't want to do. You will miss non-crunching shifts. I know I do.
