Can my integra pass a smog inspection with a B20b?
So I am in a dilemma I'm new to this but I have a swapped 98 integra LS it has a b20b in it and it was refereed I am in California
Is there anyway possible to smog it like that and have it pass or do they look through it and see if its the right motor or do I have to swap it back to a b18 to pass
I am unsure trying to get feedback

As long as you use the intake manifold injectors etc from the LS engine the B20 will pass, you need to take everything from the LS engine and put it on the B20 for it to pass, not that complicated, make sure no check engine light is on and you should be fine. The reff shoulod have already told you this and or has all the info you need to make the b20 pass in the Integra chassis its well-known you can use a B20 and have it reffed and pass smog.

A little unclear on OP’s original question.
Re: “it was refereed”
Are you saying that the car was previously BAR certified by the referee and has a sticker somewhere saying so? Lucky you. Go to the nearest smog shop, point at the sticker, and get it inspected.
Did you get pulled over with the B20B in the car and get sent to the referee? If so, you’re hosed. Easiest path would be to install a USDM B18B of >97 model year. You can install a USDM B20 as well but then you will still have to go through the whole BAR/referee process to get it certified and legal.
JDM/global market engines are no longer allowed in any form for BAR certification. You must have that 5th character on your block stamp, and it must be a configuration that exists here in the US.
