yes...

Your question is so vuage... But depending on what you decide to put in there. You will get gains in your upper rpm range... but you might sacrafice some power below, I believe, 5k?

dont waste ur money on pulleys. spend that cash build n the internals of ur motor!
start out with CROWER 62403's or 404 cams with the upgraded valvesprings and retainers. springs are a MUST when u get these cams. spend that money u would have spent on pulleys and get a set of adjustable cam gears!
the crower 62404 cams are stated to give u 18-21 whp and the 403's i think it's like 15-18 whp. both cams have a slight lope at idle. not too noticable with the 403's. i have the 403's but if i were to do it over again, i would get the 404's. probably will get them next year.

This is what i would do if i were u (this is also what im do n)

Crower 403's or 404's with valvespring/retainers
Adjustable cam gears
FPR and some type of fuel tuning computer like SAFC (or a stand alone unit so u can modify ur ignition tables as well)
PR3 or P30 pistons to raise compression
B16 tranny

thats gonna be my setup

with the setup i told u (with the crower 404 cams) u will be looking at putting down 165-175 or maybe more horsepower to the wheels.

Cams: $380-400 (i got em for $340)
cam gears:$150 (SKUNK2's - got em for $107)
Springs and retainers: $~300 (got em for 175)
B16 pistons with rings (also need new rod bearings): $200-250 (still waiting)
B16 tranny: $500 (still waiting)
SAFC: $150-200 (got it for $150)
FPR: $40-50 (got it for $30)

if ur not do n the installs urself then ur look n to pay more money. i did everything myself. cant afford to pay people to do it plus i love do n things myself. i also have hookups at my boys shop so i get **** done for free.

and the B16 tranny cuz the gears are shorter which means faster acceleration!!!!

I agree! Go 404's, big difference over 403's, however you will sacrifice streetablity! And most ppl dont lose low end on LS's going with bigger cams, you gain all the way across the power band! Spend your money on PR 3 or P30 Pistons instead of pulleys!

B16 tranny has shorter gears and will really wake that motor up like you wouldn't believe! Going from LS to a B16 tranny is night and day difference!

Correct me if I am wrong, but won't the B16's gearing limit the topseed to around 115mph with the LS's low redline? Just a question.

for everyday driving i doubt u will be see n 115+ mph. for NA cars u wont even see that mph at the track, especally in an LS. if ur gonna build turbo or nitrous then i would recommend new rods and pistons plus ecu tuning to raise ur rev limiter. the b16 tranny could go way over 115 mph. my friend has a 10 sec civic B20/VTEC motor and he pulls off some crazy speed. he took me a ride for it one day with 24" slicks and he got up to 130 mph with ease! i think he was only in 4th geaqr. he did have ITR tranny but about the same as a b16

No I was still passing the 135mph limit on the speedo but was close to redline! And if you build the motor to make the power, your redline will be around 8K!
