All that you need is a Vernier caliper or a micrometer. It could also be estimated with a ruler.

I sold a set of GS-R cams on Ebay with the lobe heights for each lobe (24 in all). Two weeks later, someone used my exact measured dimensions for their cams. I emailed the high bidder with the information.
