a/c removal question
ok for those of you that have removed your a/c i would like to know what you did with the evaporator. i want to keep my heater so obvioulsy i will need the blower fan but that is on the opposite side of the heater core and the evaporator so... yeah i would like to know what you guys have done. i am just thinking about gutting the black box where the evap is.
well for the seriously **** people who think that every ounce is wasted energy, lol i have stripped the car of most other stuff so i was just thinking that in doing this it might help out some more with the weight savings you know.
ha ha well it doesn't rain a whole lot here but when i got the car most of the a/c was gone anyways so i don't mind. and as far as heat goes i lived in phoenix for 1 year with out a/c and it really doesn't bother me a whole lot.
removing the ac in no way affects your heater, there is a hose in the back of the block that runs into the firewall and heats the heater core under the dash
you remove the pump, canister, the ac lines and condensor along with the fan
the ac lines thar run into the fire wall can be plugged and you can still use your defroster when its cold/rainy
