A/C problem

Whenever I turn my a/c on, it squeels for a second, and then the engine runs rough. The whole car starts to shake a little. Any idea what's going on?

Check your a/c belt for cracks or other signs of wear.

check your fan belt! it probably has a crack in it and or its worn out

Eh thanks for trying, but better luck next time.

Does your car idle low without the A/C on? If so...bump up the idle a tiny bit. If not, take ebelp's advice.
