Broken steering column nut.. HELP

my car got broken into again.. 3 times..
twice in my em1si and stripped.. now i
just got a dc2 and got broken into again..
but THEY BROKE THE SPURS OFF THAT ARE
ON THE STEERING COLUM HOW DO I FIX..???

Wow, they must have been pretty strong. From the diagrams it looks like the colum only comes new in once piece. In the helm they talk about replacing the joint, but other than that the dealership only sells it as a whole steering colum assembly, and theres no talk about dissasembling it. It says if the steering colum ball bearing (just behind the cable reel in your pic that is now damaged as well) has play or movement to replace the whole colum as well.
Part #1 (the assembly) costs $226 new, might be able to get it cheaper from Len, but I'd search for a used assembly.

Yea, you're going to need a new column. I wouldn't try and ghetto rig those splines and lose your steering wheel while driving. I just threw out a steering column too because I got off the pieces I wanted. I would search around, I'm sure you can find one cheap. I got the whole column with steering wheel, lock, etc. for $100 at my local junkyard.
