edelbrock > skunk2/blox

but it also depends on how much power you want to make

I know that the edelbrock is mostly high rpm power adder and the slunk2 is more or a all motor application if that matters. so if it was me, BLOX.

blox is like an exact copy of the skunk2 design, are you referring to the performer x or victor x and why are you getting a new intake mani?

yeah, it seems like alot of the guys on here dont want to use edelbrock because it is traditionally an american muscle company. If they make a good part, buy it.

Edelbrock mani adds power from 7000-10000 rpm, stock ls rev limit is 6800 so that is'nt going to do anything but make you lose low end. Skunk 2, (which is an american company btw) and blox are both type r knockoffs, I've seen them both side by side and there is no diff other than price, and skunk2 has their name on the plenum. I have a blox, I have not ran it yet but I would'nt of bought it if I thought it was a peice of ****.

Wow, I can't believe it took this many posts before somebody gave some actual technical information.

Deciding on a intake manifold should not be based on a brand name but on what your power goals are. General rule of thumb is the short the runners, the higher the power range in RPMS.

If you are running a b18b turbo application, getting any of these manifolds would put your power band around 6-8K RPM. So with your redline at about 7.3K (I believe), all of the suggestions you've made would be very poor choices because they are all based on an ITR manifold design. So you wouldn't see most of your power until very high RPMs which isn't that great on most turbo applications.

Do some reading about intake velocity and intake manifold design to help make a better design on your build.

I am a noob, but the shop were I take my LS-T to get **** put on said they reccomend the golden eagle intake mani. Said they saw a 10 percent increase over the skunk 2. (had skunk 2 then tried the golden eagle.) Anyhow, I didn't ask him where it started take make power, because it very well could have been in the high rpms, but is car makes good power (saw his dyno, 575 whp) but he has a fully built motor that spins over 9k so it's possable it makes more power in the high end. Just my 2 pennys for what it's worth.
