Default Beef up the Automatic? Please help

Ok before anyone starts I'm 17, it's my first car.
Rules are no manual swap, no engine swap but I can do bolt ons etc...
Anyways I bought a Greddy turbo kit, trans cooler, AEM intake, BLOX manifold, BBK t-body...........

What/who makes transmission parts for the Honda/Acura's? I just want it stronger than stock like by 30% all my goal is 180-190whp and I will be happy.

Also does anyone make upgrade motor/transmission mounts?

Why is your name Ecotec and you have a honda?

Anyways not too many people "beef" up automatics, so I dont know how much luck youll have around here.

auto trannys just cant take the kind of abuse like manual trannys. even with 190-200whp i think itd still be pretty slow because of the gearing. i honestly dont even know how much power it can hold.

but why not a 5spd?

i built my brothers 4dr auto ls. not bad but it still pretty slow. its an auto i wouldnt waste time on it if it was my own. car is equip with chipped auto ecu, tranny is stock, bottom end 82mm itr pitons , resized rods, gsr bearings, polish crank, arp rod bolts, valve job, mild pnp, portmatch tb,i/m/exh with fpr, and cams gears with web cams. honestly i dont think its worth it. but i had the parts as extras so i just built it for him. drives better than stock thats for sure. but shifting makes it feel like its not full potential. now if they made a racing tq con then that would be a diff story. seen one from cusco but it wasnt made for b series and cant remember what tranny is was made for i think it was for h22

You might want to contact Level 10 for torque converter and auto trans upgrades.

So I'm guessing you have rules because your parents made them up for you. Is that safe to assume? I have a 98 teg auto and I was thinking about "beefin" it up. But, like everyone else said, I don't think honda auto tranny's can take the abuse. My first was an auto and I tore that thing all to pieces. If at all possible, wait until you are 18 and they get a manual. The parts you already got will better serve you. I'm just using mine as a daily driver and one of my dumbass friends is thinking of getting rid of his because he can't keep it running. I told him its the idle air control valve. Ima just buy his probably. Good luck with your tuning.

Dont bother with an auto if you can I would just wait till your 18 and sell it and buy s 5 spd you will be much happier. Also you will be able to do a lot more things to it without worrying about your trans and your car will be a lot faster b/c you can control the gearing.

Sorry I couldnt help with the original question as I dont know many people that beef up an auto trans but I would honestly just save and wait if possible.

hey from personal experience...my car was auto i tried all the mods it was stil slow.....the best mod i did was converting it to 5-speed gsr tranny...so i say wait till ur 18 and do a 5-speed swap or get a 5-sp car.....

People think it's better b/c you can start boosting off the line.....not true.

The only way a automatic is better is when you get into drag racing hardcore, like under the 8 sec mark.
