People always say stuff like that, but it never seems to work when people actually tell them "No."

If ur smart, you wouldnt challenge a cop, just do what he asks. You are better off.

if the cops pop your hood and dont like what they see you will recieve a ticket code 27156 "altered emissions", you then have to see a state referee and he will then inspect your car...these referee's know their **** and its a pain in the *** to pass inspection with anything other than a stock car or carb legal mods.

my car has a jdm motor just as many people on this thread have. its possible to make it smog legal although its far from easy and takes a lot of sourcing us counterparts to make it equivelant to a us motor. in my case the only equivelant obd1 b16a is from the del sol so in other words im going to have to find and ecu and other smog equipment from this car. the b16a3 del sols are prety damn rare nowadays so this is gonna be really fun

because its true, but if you werent doing anything you can tell them no and they will threaten you with towing your car, but on what offence? that you were driving the speed limit in broad daylight not racing anyone?

After everything he tried to give me a ticket for, he didn't even check to see if i'm drunk, isn't that what check points are for? Well yea to the original poster of the thread, good luck as i am in the same situation as you. to cops.

shouldnt be a problem, as long as the car is the right OBD and they will be able to see that by the plug colors it wont matter

REF it with the USDM stuff, put the JDM stuff back in and you will have no problems, a normal smog tech wouldnt know the difference (unless they were into that kinda stuff). My CRX w/ b18a was reffed (sold :-() and whenenver i took it in all they did was check the vacuume diagram that I GAVE THEM (since the underhood one was inaccurate) and they would make sure it was correct then test it on the rollers

Go to Honda and get a printout of the throttle body assembly. Im almost positive it looks the same as a 94-95 GSR one (has MAP on top of course, pretty sure it has FITV, and upper vac port for charcoal canister).

you will be lucky if it does, if it doesnt, is there a way for you to screw the JDM B16A one onto the TB?
