Icon3 Bad oil pressure switch/sensor on b18a1 da9??

i was wondering if a bad oil switch can cause a cars fuel pump to not prime? sometimes my pump wont prime and ive done the relay change, new pump, new fuel filter. the pump works but when it wont prime the oil light stays on along with the CEL. my oil pressure is fine because my car runs perfect when the pump primes. could a bad oil pressure sensor switch or low oil prevent my pump from priming? ive read stuff about it being a safety feature just in case a crash
