heard about a b20 head called ... p8r head it suppossable has vtec values and i was wondering if there's anything like that or should i go kick someone ???

 

next time search because there is alot about b20s but yes there is a b20 with a P8R head and it has vtec size intake i think valuse.... the best non vtec head out there.

most b20s out there have the head straight off the b18b... meaning they arent even matching the diameter of the bore.....

the head your talking about comes on the b20z. it has valves that are the size of the vtec ones off a b16 i believe... and the dome is the same size as the bore of the b20....

it obcourse flows much better... and will make any b20 much better.. obcourse it wont make it better than a vtec head would... but the main reason for that is those heads still flow better and since they change the cam profile in low and high rpms the power curve is smoother.

 

Will a B20Z Head bolt onto a b18 block, i thought the head was slanted and the distributor was at a different angle?

 

all wrong.... ok, b20z have LS heads also but there are b20b out there that have a p8r head... the CP is 9.2.1 and the p8r head will out flow some ported LS heads... you cant not put a p8r head on a LS block... like me i have a b20b 97 with a p8r head.

the head won't make a whole hell of a lot of difference stock for stock against a LS head, its more suited for if you are boosting or building a big NA non vtec build

it uses VTEC size valves but no you cannot "add" VTEC because thats an entirely different system that has nothing to do with valve size
