Default B18B1 OBD1 or b18B1 OBD2

Hello,

I bought my car with a swapped in engine, a B18B1 and have the OBD1 ECU.

Wiring harness is all rigged and some cables are missing, wires twisted together instead of plugs.

Car is getting 15mpg.

How do I know if my B18B1 should have a OBD1 or OBD2 ECU. Any differences on the engine other then 2 O2 Sensors instead of 1?

I need to know if I should just get a new OBD1 Harness or replaced the ECU and harness to OBD2.

Previous owner told me it's a '96 engine. How can I make sure that's true.

Thanks.
